Comedy Masala is rocking Singapore, and bringing you the best weekly standup comedy nights. Comedy Masala is NOT taking a break this festive season and will be bringing mad laughs to the comedy underground!

This Tuesday we’re featuring a super high energy double-header with VERNON LEWIS (USA) and MATTHEW GIFFEN (UK). Vernon has headlined for The Comedy Club Asia and is the winner of “Standup for Singapore”. He has also appeared in Hollywood productions “THE A-TEAM” and “THOR” as a professional stuntman. Joining Vernon, is the very very very unique Matt Giffen! Matt’s fast-paced comedy style will keep you on the edge of your seats throughout! Matt is the winner of the 2011 Narrow Comedy Competition and a Finalist at the 2012 Amused Moose Laugh Off. The night will also showcase 7 comedians from Masala who are all ready to make you LYFAO!

VERNON LEWIS (USA)

A Washington DC native, Vernon has spent his last 10 years in L.A, and now in Singapore, working as a professional stuntman. You may have seen him in “THOR”, “THE A-TEAM”, and “THE GREEN HORNET”. He was recently featured in a TV advertisement for Tiger Beer. In addition to stunts, he has performed in various sketch comedy segments for “THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O’BRIAN” as well as several Improv comedy shows in the L.A area. Vernon Lewis has headlined for The Comedy Club Asia Singapore and is also the winner of “Standup for Singapore”.

MATTHEW GIFFEN (UK)

Fast-paced, frenetic and sometimes furious, Matthew explores his roots as an Irish, Colombian brought up in Windsor and the implications this has on his unique outlook on the world. A subtle blend of intelligence and crass self-deprecation. His mum still refuses to watch. Matt’s performed regularly at Up the Creek, TNT, Downstairs at the Kings Head, at the Pleasance Dome in Edinburgh as well as numerous clubs in the UK. He’s the winner of the 2011 Narrow Comedy Competition and a Finalist at the 2012 Amused Moose Laugh Off. Working as a Creative Director in the TV/ Advertising industry, he has also starred in and directed many award winning campaigns for Turner, SyFy, NBC Universal, Discovery and FX.

Comedy Masala keeps setting the stage on fire week after week bringing you Singapore’s best weekly standup comedy night. With an amazing array of local, expat and professional comics sharing the stage, crazy laughs are guaranteed in the comedy underground!

After an incredible show last week, we’re keeping the comedy ball rolling and are thrilled to present professional comedian JONATHAN ATHERTON who’s going to headline Masala! Also known as Singapore’s own “Laugh Guru”, Jonathan’s multi-lingual and fast flying jokes will leave you in stitches! This is Jonathan’s last headline performance at Masala in 2012, so be sure to catch the Laugh Guru LIVE!! Supporting Jonathan is professional Canadian comedian, PAUL WILDBAUM who’s going to perform a short preview of his upcoming Xmas comedy shows. Paul is a comedy veteran and has been performing for over 35 years. Paul’s unique act comprises of audience participation, visual theatre and straight up standup comedy. The night will also showcase 7 comedians from Masala who are all ready to make you LYFAO!
